Cwm Bychan – A straightforward hill walk on mostly excellent paths, offering spectacularly panoramic views for only a modicum of effort. 10kms with 260m of ascent. Stretch.

Cwm OrthinA gloriously scenic hidden gem which brings to life the breathtaking engineering of the slate miners of Ffestiniog. 10kms with 300m of ascent. Stretch.

Classic Glyders – A classic circuit around the Glyders, including the Devil’s Kitchen, Castle of the Winds, and the Cantilever Stone. 12kms with 770m of ascent. Strenuous.

Classic Snowdon – Up the Pyg Track and down the Miners’ Path: the classic route up the highest mountain in Britain south of Scotland. 14kms with 770m of ascent. Strenuous.

Classic Cadair Idris – The Pony Path is the classic route up the northern side of Cadair Idris, with fabulous views all the way. 10kms with 700m of ascent. Strenuous.


Stroll – A straightforward walk of less than 10kms, mostly on good paths.

Stretch – Mainly between 10kms and 15kms, these walks are slightly more demanding and may include short, steep climbs or sections of rough terrain.

Strenuous – Full-on hill-walking with long or steep climbs, sometimes on difficult terrain.
