Exhilarating guided walking in the Brecon Beacons and throughout the wilder side of Wales

Explore the mountains of Wales in the company of an experienced and enthusiastic professional walking guide.

Join me for for a day (or longer!) whenever you visit the area, or come especially to experience some stunning walking. You can come by yourself or bring one or more friends.

I grade my walks in three categories...

  • Stroll – A straightforward walk of less than 10kms, mostly on good paths.
  • Stretch – Mainly between 10kms and 15kms, these walks are slightly more demanding and may include short, steep climbs or sections of rough terrain.
  • Strenuous – Full-on hill-walking with long or steep climbs, sometimes on difficult terrain.

Your choice - or mine.

You can choose the route yourself, or you can let me choose one for you. There may be a specific walk you have always wanted to do, or an area you have always wanted to visit. Alternatively, you may just want to have a memorable day's walking, perhaps on a route that you would not attempt without guidance.

How much will this cost?

The precise cost will depend upon the route, the location, and the number of people in your group. As a guide, a group of four people walking midweek will attract a fee of around £50.00 per person, whilst private guiding (one-to-one) starts at around £150.00 per day. I will quote you a precise figure, without obligation, before you make a firm booking.

What about accommodation?

From budget bunkhouses to luxury hotels, I have contacts in most mountain areas throughout Wales, and can help you find suitable accommodation if you need it.

What about kit?

That largely depends on the time of year and the walk chosen, but sturdy footwear and a reasonable set of waterproofs are a must, as is a small rucksack in which to carry refreshments. I will send you a comprehensive kit list when I confirm your booking.
